If the first day of your last period was Aug 15th, then you are 9 weeks pregnant, but sometimes thats not always an accurate way to calculate how far along you are. You might just be measuring small.
Will be praying for things to go well for you. The cramping may or may not mean anything because early pregnancy symptoms do include cramping due to the uterus stretching. Good luck and do keep us informed

@MrsTiz: Well I guess sometimes people ovulate later than usual and than causes the mix up. I'm wishing you all the best though, Hope you get good news soon

@MrsTiz: First off, I wish you didn't have to be asking these questions... so sorry! :((
I had a miscarriage 5.5 weeks ago. I was 8 weeks along. At 6 weeks, I started spotting so I FREAKED out, called the doc and they got me in for an ultrasound. They noticed the baby was only measuring 4 weeks so they just figured my dates were off, which I knew wasn't true. They also didn't see a yolk sac. So they sent me on my merry way and told me to call if I have pain or fill 2 pads in an hour. Well, the spotting continued for about 2 weeks before I actually miscarried and it was the most stressful 2 weeks ever... not knowing if & when it was going to happen got the best of me; I even left work early one day (I work in OB) because I couldn't take 'not knowing'. Anyways, I was in Menards with DH one day and felt a knife like pain in my uterus and it was then that I knew what was happening. I went home and passed a few clots and had normal period bleeding. The next morning I had the worst cramps EVER! This went on for about a week.
If you do end up miscarrying, just remember it's okay to be sad. It brought DH and I so much closer. We just lost our baby... something we didn't ever think could happen. You get a BFP and start planning the next 9 months and can't wait to meet your LO. I am glad mine was natural... they say your bodies know what to do. If you do go on Tuesday and haven't had anything happen yet, they will probably give you options... d&c, medication... I'm just hoping there's a little heartbeat when you go and you won't have to make this decision! (And by my calculations, you'd be 9 weeks). Just know there is a lot of support here if you need someone to talk to. *hugs*

Even if you ovulate late, measuring 3 weeks behind where you thought you were is pretty far. They like you to be give or take a week. I hope it's just a dating issue, though...but it does sound like you have a normal cycle and would ovulate within the window you're 'supposed' to.

Not knowing what's happening is the worst, though. Hang in there, you'll know soon!

@MrsTiz: It makes me so sad to know you feel this way. I can totally relate to everything you're feeling. I wouldn't wish a miscarriage on anyone... the emotional pain you feel is something I never thought possible.
But there was something there. You are pregnant with a baby. I always say "when I thought I was pregnant" and my mom always corrects me... ""you were pregnant". And you are too.
If and when it happens, you'll know. I took a bath and did my best to relax... cuddle on the couch... cry... be mad that it's happening. Everything you feel is normal. I'm so sorry.

I don't have any advice. but I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. Situations like this break my heart every time I hear/read about them. Fingers crossed that the dates are just off and everything is ok.

@MrsTiz: First off, big, big tight loving hugs from me. I went through this a couple months ago, and I never experienced such terrible heartache. While I'm hoping the best for you, I am here for you for whatever you need!! Do whatever you need to have you and hubby time to recoup.

I suggest you go to the ER to get a piece of mind. I did. They'll run some tests and give you a base line hcg level to let you know for being 9 weeks along if that sounds right or not. Then when you go see your OB, she'll run another test and you'll know for sure if your pregnancy is viable or not. Again, I'm so, so sorry you have to go through this. *hugs*

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I hope for the best for you and am sending you strength!

I know money is probably last on your mind, but if I were you I'd call another OB office or a walk-in clinic and explain your situation and see if they can help you - an ER bill might be a big hit to take (or at least I know it would be on my insurance). But I would definitely pursue getting some answers for peace of mind (and finding a new OB in general )

I don't have any advice but wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you & keeping fingers crossed!

The ER may not be able to help you much. Their U/S equipment, at the one I went to, was not as good as the one in the OB's office. A resident was doing my scan and she wasn't as competent as the OB's office. And i have a friend who was told she's miscarry by the ER, but she didn't, because the ER doctor couldn't find the fetus. So i'm not sure the ER is a conclusive option. But if you are miscarrying, they can give you the pill to help speed it along. You won't have to wait weeks and weeks--hopefully as soon as you know, some options will be presented to you. Because you can't move on until the process is over, ya know?

Bloodwork seems totally reasonable to me. Would you have any previous HCG levels to compare it to?

@MrsTiz: I'm so sorry!!! I hope it's just a date thing but either way, sending you hugs for having to deal with this. I would suggest doing what someone else suggested and finding another OB, if you can, who can take another look.

@MrsTiz: Dear, I am SO sorry you are going through this. My OB (and her entire office) has terrible bedside manner too. When I called in crying and told them I was bleeding, they said, "Oh, that's common." And they wouldn't let me see anyone! I think I called the office 5 times before they sent an order for me to go to the ER, where they confirmed that I had miscarried at 6 weeks.

Hugs to you. You'll have some hard days, but just know you are not alone. Again, I'm so sorry you have to go through this.

Hang in there, MrsTiz. I think you're just early enough that there isn't much they can do or see, to give you any conclusive info

I advise that you to keep some heavy pads on hand, just in case you start to spontaneously m/c on your own. I really hope all this fear is for naught, though.
