Moby is more complicated (but we still love it for our newborn) than the K'tan. Kt'an is pretty awesome. I don't know anything about the Infantino.

K'tan!

I love my k'tan! You can do the same holds as the moby (minus back carrying) but its SO much easiers to put on! It's worked really well for us until last month when P decided she wanted to squirm, bend backwards to see what's behind her, & turn 180s to grab stuff. I think I want to get a mei tai next so I can also back wear & nurse in it... Something I was never able to figure out in the k'tan.

a friend has let us borrow the infantino and it sucks! i have a comfy joey ring sling i wear a lot.

You can get an Infantino for around $10 at most used kids stores, we only used ours for a couple months until it started killing our backs. I'd register for a higher end carrier (love or Ergo and still use it regularly at 25 pounds) and pick up any others used.

I've also only used the ktan but I love it. It's super easy to put on. I've been putting it on while we're parked in the car so lo doesn't get cold outside. It is comfy and secure. She sleeps the whole time she's in it.

K'TAN!!! I bought the Moby for newborn weeks and ...wow. It is so complicated and heavy, and hot and if you're short then it is too long...even the smallest size.
I honestly couldn't stand it.
I bought a baby k'tan a little late. a lot late...when my son was 4m haha.
So, we only used it a few weeks because my back started to hurt but OMG I so, so, wish I had one when he was a newborn. It would have been a miracle.

@Mrs. Yoyo: I used it when she was four days old. It worked great!

@Mrs. Yoyo: I used it the first time between 1-2 weeks but LO was still tiny and I'd still want to support her head and neck with my hand until just recently. Now that she is finally 8lbs, the minimum weight on the suggestion, she seems to fit in it a lot better!

Is there a store where you can try them both out? I went w a friend and someone showed us how to do both, w baby dolls, and we left w me def wanting the ktan and my friend def wanting the moby. She liked that the moby seemed more secure, I liked that the ktan seemed easier, especially out and about. They say to put it on at home an just put the baby in when you are out but sometimes you don't know you will need it. Haven't used either w a real baby yet.

K'Tan. I'm a huge baby-wearing fanatic, and if you're new to the whole thing I think it would be a great and versatile way to introduce yourself and baby to the concept.
ETA: I'd be happy to be a resource for you if you decide to venture into wrapping! Try looking for a carrier "lending library" in your area. Then you can try a few things and find what suits you.

@Redsmarties; I can pretty much promise you no wrangling will be required. You'll get the hang of it in no time, and I would be honored to help if I can!

@Mrs. Yoyo: we took LO for a walk in it when she was 3 days old, the night we brought her home from the hospital!

@Mrs. Yoyo: I have the K-Tan and the instructions say not before 8 lbs. So just depends on the size of your lo!

@redsmarties: One thing that no-one has mentioned about the k-tan is that it comes in sizes, which is a hard thing to gauge when you're pregnant. I got the small I think and even at 8 lbs it felt like Scribble was always shifting downward (You can't use it as a ring sling, only Kangaroo style). It is vital to get the sizing right because it is meant to stretch. Honestly, it never felt secure to me and after I fell while wearning him in it I just decided I needed more strucure/padding.

Right now we are super happy with our Infantino Balance, but I think if I babywore I would go for Gemini or Ergo. Scribble doesn't care to be worn around the house so we would never get enough use out of one of those to justify the cost, but your LO might and you can use it for other babies in the future or pass it down!

The thing about Infantino is .....there are a million different carriers in that brand. The ergonomics of the cheaper ones are suspect/Bjorn-like, but the more expensive ones are properly designed.

I agree with @Mrs. Sketchbook: I bought a ktan while pregnant and it ended up way too right with breastfeeding sized chest and a baby. The moby isn't as hard as it looks and I liked that DH could use it too.
