I feel like I'm possibly wearing it wrong, but my Beco Gemini is making my back hurt a little. I've worn it out twice now and both times I'm having pain in my upper back. I don't feel like I should be. If anyone has one or is knowledgeable about baby wearing, can you give me some suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?

No knowledge other than I sometimes get a little sore too. I think it has to do with my posture and running after DS more than anything though. Let me know if you find out anything useful!

@BKCaribBaby: Are you making sure to cross the straps in the back and that they aren't close to your neck but more midpoint on your shoulder? Maybe you can also play around with the waist belt, moving it up or down and seeing how that feels? Also play around with the tightness/looseness of the straps. It could be that you are wearing it too tight on the shoulders so all of the baby's weight is going to that part of your body.
And if none of that works then maybe it's not the right carrier for your body!
I had some lower back pain but that was also because of the way I was sitting when breastfeeding that contributed. But the Beco Gemini had a pretty long run up until my LO hit about 16-18 lbs. and I switched carriers.

@mrsjazz: I am not crossing it at the back! OKay. I will try that tomorrow. They are also close to the neck. I also think I am probably wearing it too tightly. Plus, I am a contortionist lately with bfing because of my forceful letdown issues. Sigh...I'm a mess. I'll try to mess with this a little tomorrow. I wanted to go to Caribou Baby in Greenpoint (have you heard of it) because apparently they are helpful with these.

Definitely try to get yourself to a babywearing store where they can help you... I think I have heard of the one you mentioned. Metro Minis on the UES is another good one... I got my Gemini there.
Ditto @Mrs Jazz's comments. Usually for me, my waist belt isn't at a comfortable spot, and sometimes my straps are too tight... Loosening them up a bit are my first go-to fix and I usually feel much better after that! Good luck!

@BKCaribBaby: After a certain weight I can only do back carries for long term and short carries pretty much for 10 minutes to nurse and that's it. That's with any carrier.

They do baby wearing clinics around the city but none near me.

@pastemoo: We're loving the carrier. Well, I should say NOW LO loves it. I do, too. I ended up getting a chance to talk to a woman who specializes in baby carriers. She showed me the proper way to put on the Gemini. I was doing it TOTALLY wrong. I sometimes have a bit of discomfort, but then I loosen the straps and it's better.
