Hahah yes! And my baby isn't even here yet. But honestly my mom isn't as bad as my MIL. My mom at least phrases hers as suggestions. My MIL states her opinions as if they are fact.

Yeah she does, but she's a child psychologist so I tend to listen. She could tell me anything and I'd listen to her. I can't remember a time where I didn't heed her advice.

My mom tries but I'm not having it! My mom is very opinionated and would fit right in with all those feisty Asian aunties. I've learned throughout the years and now I lecture her more than anything. I'm not sure if it's just because she's my mom or that I know she means well, but I don't mind it too much.
My MIL, on the other hand, thinks she's better than everyone else and assumes people are clueless except for her. It's nothing like the sweet Asian, yet pushy auntie attitude. There's no sweet that goes along with it. It's an indifferent, cold tone =/

No, but every time I complain or look for a little sympathy I get "well try doing it like I did. 4 kids in 5 years and your father was working in Salt Lake City for 3 weeks out of the month". Can I get a "that must be hard" or "motherhood is a difficult job"???? Nope, always how she had it harder. Which she did, times ten. But still. MOMS!!!
