If you had an entire day with your lo (around 3 years old) what would you do with them? Go to a park? Playground? Shopping? (hehe) Splashpad? Pool? Something else?

I would do something more out of the ordinary as a treat - Build a Bear, the aquarium, a children`s museum - something you wouldn`t do on a regular day.

@erinbaderin: I like how you think. I will think about these but I know my husband will be upset if we do anything that she hasn't done before without him there. He likes to be there for all "firsts" no matter how small.

oooh, definitely Build-A-Bear. She loves that place. Also, a special lunch out at her favorite place, or a stop at our favorite smoothie bar. She loves riding her bike, so I might do that down at the waterfront, or take her to get her toes painted because she loves that, too.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: so, Build a Bear and then McDonald's? Hahahahhaha. Sigh.

I would try do something she hadn't done before but if DH didn't like that idea, I would go for her absolute favourites. Maybe a favourite museum in the morning and favourite splash pad in the afternoon, with a toy store in between, and a sweet treat at a cafe. I took my daughter to Starbucks for a cake pop just the two of us at the weekend. What had her beyond excited is that I let her wear one of my bracelets, and one of my handbags that she then stuffed with her favourite things. She was so giddy!

when i have mommy and LO days, i usually take him to the science centre for the day, or the zoo (we have memberships for both). sometimes we stay home and play, then go to the park and do something different in the afternoon like splash pad.

I love these days, we had on recently and we did:
her favorite breakfast at home
left and went to the indoor playground (raining outside)
ate out for lunch
got mani/pedi
and then home for nap & then a movie

@mediagirl: it doesn't have to be something new! But something out of the ordinary. You guys go to the pool, splash pad often so I wouldn't do that. If it was M I would take her to the zoo because she LOVES the zoo but we don't go often. Definitely breakfast out because she loves breakfast and eating. So maybe a early brunch, zoo then out for ice cream by the waterfront. That would be her perfect day.
I think I might save Build A Bear for Christmas; it's SO expensive!

@regberadaisy: @californiadreams: @sunny: you are all so lucky to have the zoo nearby!!
Yeah, build a bear is a little out of the budget for just a regular day.
@travelgirl1: I like the idea of cake pops at a coffee shop. I may look to see if there are any coffee and play shops around here.

If it were just me and T....we would probably go to the beach together and then out to lunch and ice cream. Maybe to toy store or something like build a bear after that for him to pick out something special. Home for movie and popcorn He doesn't nap so we don't need to plan around that.

@mediagirl: what about the science / children's center? She loves that place, right?

@regberadaisy: yeah there's actually one out in a town 30 minutes away we have never been to that I may drive her out to.
