I learned about it afterward we had LO.

Now that shes a bit older we have a shelf for her to get her own snacks out of the pantry, we let her help with lots of chores like doing dishes and washing fruit (water play), and we keep a lot of her toys displayed low at her level.

I wish we had a miror at a young age.

I first got hooked on Montessori by following a blog called Counting Coconuts...I think she still has it up and is on FB, but she doesn't update the blog a lot.

I then decided this was something I wanted to know even more about so I got certified, using the same program she did, North American Montessori Center.

eta: with things like practical life activities, you can pretty much adapt anything to Montessori style. Where it gets more difficult is lessons where you need specific tools, like the Pink Tower or the Brown Stair.
