I've been following along, but silent on this thread. I was telling my husband about mosaic trisomy the other day when I first saw this cause I'd never heard of it and had read up a little about it. And then I was trying to update him this morning, and could barely get the words out without choking up. I'm so sorry you're going through this and had to make such an impossible decision.

I go tomorrow for the procedure and I have to say, I am scared shitless. This will be my first surgery and first time under anesthesia so I am very nervous. I’m sure it’ll all be fine and then we can move on from this terrible time.
Thank you all so much for your kind words and support, it really is helping so so much.

@LabradorLover: thinking of you tomorrow. Please be kind to yourself. You don’t owe anyone an explanation- it’s ok if people ask to say you don’t want to talk about it. Or if you do that’s fine too. Just take the time and space you need.

I've been lurking this thread, and I think you are a strong and thoughtful person. No one else can decide what's best for your family, and I respect you and your husband for being able to make an incredibly difficult decision. I wish you peace for today, and you should know that you have so many people supporting you and waiting here to help you through the other side. Big gentle hugs mama.

Thinking of you I know nothing will lesson the horror and grief of it all, so just know that all over the world there are women sending you prayers, love and virtual hugs during this extremely difficult time.

** sitting here trying to think of something to say, while knowing nothing can make you feel better **
I liked what someone else said best... be kind to yourself.

My husband and I are home resting. I hate to say but we are feeling relieved that this is behind us now and we can more forward. He told me he feels bad that he isn’t feeling super sad today but I told him that was ok because we have been feeling sad about this for 5 weeks now.
I know in no way the road ahead will be easy but we know we made the right decision and thank all of you for all of the support.
Not sure how active I will be on here for a bit but I appreciate and support all of you. Hopefully my story will help someone in need just like yours have helped me.
