Haha so true... holidays and birthdays tend to take over a whole weekend! I don't mind, as long as Father's Day gets a weekend too!

DH brought home some flowers 
when he ran out to pick up a few groceries and dog food. Other than that, we are saving the mother's day festivities for tomorrow.

Just a day! Not so much for Mother's Day, but I am not a fan of over celebrating. Like birthday weekends are turning into birthday months for some people I know.

It's sort of become a weekend? We had my mom over last night and DH cooked us dinner. But then he wanted me to do the dishes and was surprised that I was upset about having to do the dishes for my own Mother's Day dinner. We had brunch out with MIL today, and went to Renn Fair at my request. Got pedicures and dinner out tonight, but not specifically for Mother's Day. We just like pedicures. 
Tomorrow we're playing D&D all day, so nothing Mother's Day related at all!

We saw my mom today and we'll see my MIL tomorrow - so we sort of made a weekend out of it!

Just one day. Although my husband did detail my car and buy me some candy today. He didn't really say it was for mothers day but I think he's just being extra nice all weekend

We just came home from dh's work convention/our babymoon and was surprised with the best pre-MD greeting/gift from Ds mil picked up a few things, they made a card together and planted some flowers for me yesterday! Seriously teared up! Tomorrow will be a chill day of QT w my boys and then seeing my mom and grandma who watched Ds for us while we were fine!

I saw my parents today. Tomorrow, DH is doing the morning routine with LO. Otherwise, low key and one day for us.

Yes, you should NOT ask your wife to help you anything on mother's day weekend! Don't do it again next year, haha!
As I never get any time off ever as a mother, my celebration would be to forget about mother's day. Such a chore. I don't know why suddenly I was given the pressure to plan the freaking day for myself when I don't want to plan anything and just wanted a day off. But so far it's been good so I am thankful. We went strawberry picking today (which I planned) and this afternoon we went out shopping (which was unplanned) and I got shoes that I like and I do need that desperately for a show next weekend. Tomorrow we're just going to wing it. No brunch planned. I just want an easy day.

It's a weekend celebration since I will be sharing it the different mother figures in my life. We had our family dinner tonight, tomorrow I will bring flowers to my Godmother and spend time with her. My mom is overseas so I won't get to celebrate with her.

Just the day but he indulged me and bought some stuff at the grocery store he wouldn't normally buy yesterday. I may have pulled the mother's day card when I made him go back to the park with me to look for my water bottle and it turned out it was in the car the whole time.

Just day for us.... Saturday we hosted a poker night for DHs coworkers and their spouses, so we were busy all day cleaning, preparing food, etc

DH is working tonight so we stretched things out to the weekend to make it fit. Like we went out to dinner last night instead of today. But he is also sleeping a good chunk this weekend because of his schedule so I am fine just fitting in celebrations when we can. Other years, a day is fine.
