*SIGH*
We are about a month post-sleep training and LO is still waking up in the MOTN to eat. She's 7 months.
Before we STd she'd wake at 1am and 4am (7pm bedtime). Now she wakes once, closer to 4:30 or 5, then goes back to sleep til 6:30 or 7.
Maybe once or twice a week she'll wake at 3. Last night she SCREAMED hysterically at 3 and instead of our usual "give her 10 mins to see if she'll fall back asleep on her own" routine, I fed her and she slept until 6:30am. It's so unpredictable I don't think she's waking out of habit.
Am I not supposed to feed her anymore in the MOTN after sleep training? Is there some magical land where people's babies sleep for 12 hrs straight? It's probably silly to instate a dream feed at this point in the game, but seriously.... is there ANYTHING else we can do??
I don't think babies are developmentally meant to STTN all night, every night. If you read the link I posted, and the included Psychology Today articles, they talk about what is/isn't developmentally appropriate.
