Hellobee Boards

We don’t do it regularly, more as a special treat, but we do do movie days - the kids get popcorn and some candy, we bring the Nugget Comfort upstairs and set it up in front of the tv, and shut the curtains. Sometimes I pick the movie, sometimes we let them, although they have to agree on something.

We do pizza and a movie every Friday! We make the pizzas homemade so my boys get to put on their own toppings. We choose each movie as a family (but they are still little, so this might evolve?) We all look forward to it every week!

We do pizza and movie just about every Friday. We used to do homemade pizza more often, but now it's just delivery. We try to rotate who picks the movie between the adults and DS, but to be honest, it sometimes depends on how much I want to avoid an argument about whether we can watch 1 of maybe 4 movies he tends to choose.

While our tradition isn't a longstanding one, it has been fun! Since covid hit and we aren't going many places, we have started to 'go to the movies' at home.

I got little popcorn buckets. The kids draw a poster (we pick the movie together). I made tickets and a concession stand and we each get a budget to spend at concessions.

It is silly, a big treat and a lot of fun!

I struggle with movie nights because it cuts into my alone time. We probably do one every 6 weeks. We also still have pretty little kids, who can be sensitive, so sometimes its hard to find a movie that works for everyone.

That said. We always take a break half way through for popcorn, and I try to have juice or something special for them to drink. Lately we've been into audio books in the car, so when we finish one of those that has a movie we are going to have a "movie party." We just finished listening to Charlie and the Chocolate factory, so for our next movie night we will make brownies and watch that.
