DD2 really likes music. Certain songs are instantly soothing for her. She's typically drawn to toys with music. Being the second we already have so much toys but I thought a new musical toy might be fun for her first.
Any reco for a musical toy for the 12m + age group? We already have the M&D piano.

We have a bath xylophone that we play with outside the water (the base is made of foam which is why it's a bath toy). My kids like the colors in addition to the musical element, and the pieces fit together like a puzzle. So you can take it apart and put it together again, or split it up and give half to each kid!

I liked the Hohner xylophone. This one plays in tune which was really important to me!
Also take along tunes was a big hit for my LO when she was tiny.

We have several of the "B" brand toys. There is a guitar that looks like a dog, and a piano that looks like a cat. Both of my kids LOVE those toys. You can usually find them at Target.
