R loves her baby einstein take along tunes and this other weird bookworm thing my mom has that plays songs and lights up.
we got her a xylophone and going to get a drum kit and some maracas and shakers, but i'm wondering if there are any more toys like the ones above that play music when she presses the button. bonus points for not annoying or ugly or large.

My kids like their Munchkin Mozart Magic Cube! And it plays 8 or 10 different songs, so it doesn't get annoying.

@prettylizy: i agree, but the kid loves her jams. she's been playing with that take along tunes for 10 minutes now without getting into our books (that she likes to eat) or climbing up my leg. WAHM needs some distractions!

My son loves Scout and his musical stylings. Plus you can go online and program him to use your LO's name: "I love you, {name}."

DS has a little keyboard with the Cars characters. He's had it for years and still likes to play on it. He likes to dance to the demo tunes, lol

Ipod with downloaded music? We gave LO that when she was younger and she would dance to it for hours!
