Last night my 2.5 year old daughter woke up in the night vomiting. She also had a fever of around 100-101. She vomited 3-4x and then slept the rest of the night. She woke up 100% back to normal. I kept her home from daycare, per their rules, and watched her all day. She ate, drank, and played normally. She went to bed around 9, happy and looking normal, then woke up puking at 10 with a fever (100 under her arm, so 101?) that she didn't have an hour previously.
Anyone had this happen? Is it a virus??
I'm super nervous since I have a 3 week old baby and I am the primary caregiver to both. Last night I was cleaning up puke and comforting my 2 year old when the baby would start crying... I'd go, scrub my hands for a minute, nurse the baby, then hear my 2 year old puking/calling for me again... would put the baby down, go to my 2 year old... and REPEAT. Really hoping the baby (and I) don't get sick!
I think it's fine to have her in her own room. But, I would probably feel more comfortable with a baby monitor so I could hear if she was staring to vomit and go in. Could your husband pick a new one up today maybe? If not, I'm sure she'll be fine. I hope she feels better soon and you and H stay healthy!
