So I just switched jobs like 2 months ago, and I was told the benefits were to die for! I was so excited because before I was on a high deductible health plan and all that. Well the dr visit coverage isn't all that bad ($30 co-pay) but my prescription portion is HORRIBLE.
It tooks me 5+ years to find a birth control pill that worked for me, I have REALLY heavy periods, terrible PMS, bad cramps (to the point of vomiting because of pain) and I found a birth control (Loestrin 24 FE) that works amazing with me. Well there aren't any comparable generics available, and I just found out today that my insurance covers 0% because it is in the 3rd tier in our plan, which means the most expensive. So Now I will have to pay right around $120/month to be on it besides paying $300/month for my health insurance coverage. This just seems so unfair It's not my fault they don't offer generics.
Has anyone else had this problem with their health insurance?
