I bought my parents bath towels from Macy's for Christmas last year. They don't use them since they say their mismatched towels from the 1970s are still good. Arghh!

We bought dhs parents a 6 months at Netflix because they're always buying movies on demand, but my fil wont use it because he thinks they'll scam him into keeping it for more months. Which wouldn't be the worst thing ..... they'd actually use it!

My mom won't use Redbox to rent movies! She afraid of them, and she doesn't think she will be able to figure it out, so she just avoids them!
Also my parents won't and I mean won't! Drive on the freeway. They have been like that forever and it scares them too much.

@artbee: I brought a 3 month Netflix subscription to a family Yankee swap, the person who got it announced that they'd gotten the worst gift and that if they wanted to watch movies they'd just go buy them & that wireless Internet was a scam so that everyone could access your personal info on your computer. Hahaha, I thought it was something anyone would enjoy getting! I guess we were both wrong with the Netflix gift
@MrsBrewer: DH's parents won't drive on the highway either! They can't drive over 35mph, ever. They get pulled over all the time for going too slow! Drives me insane & I refuse to ever get in a car with them.
My mom doesn't like to turn her cell phone on because it might run out of battery... That's why you charge it!

My dad will hold onto a gift card for an eternity. I mean he had an itunes card for more than a year before he used it... and it's because he doesn't want to waste it, not because he doesn't know how or forgets he has it!

Yes! My mom does this all the time! Drives me crazy. I bought her new fancy pajamas the one year with a nice plus bathrobe and she never wears it bc it's too "nice".

My dad is OBSESSED with politics and thinks that the entire government is a huge conspiracy that's out to get us. I'm not even joking. He is SO dead-on serious. He thinks that government is trying to kill us off one by one, drive us mad (they've certainly done that to him) and control our lives (well, I suppose that's not *too far* from the truth lol).. He takes everything way too seriously and even though it drives me crazy - because it's all he wants to talk about - it also makes me sad that he's let his fear of the government completely take over his life. He has become such a grumpy man the last couple years. It's so sad really.
But my siblings and I joke about it lol Even tho my brother and sister are really involved in politics and knowing about it, even they don't let it consume their lives! -
@Coco Bee: My parents get all of their political information from Facebook and internet forwards. It drives me nuts! They have the most inaccurate and ridiculous reasons for hating a particular candidate because they believe everything they read in these forwards.

My dad definitely gets his information from reliable sources, but all he ever listens to is political talk radio. Drives me up the wall!
