My dad called my sister and I to dinner, alone. Which is weird because he loves DH and BIL like sons. I knew something was up.

He said he and my stepmother filed for divorce today. They've been together since I was 6 so it's like losing another parent. I knew it was coming but I'm still pretty bummed, because LO is due in February and I don't know how much stepmom will be in his/her life. Dad said she will try and keep in touch with us but you know how those things go. Awkward.

Sister wasn't upset. Dad acted like we all hated her and glad she's gone now. I didn't get along with her that much but she still basically raised me and was there for all the typical mom things in my life. She is like a second mom to me just like my stepdad is a second dad. I knew this was coming for a lot of reasons, but I'm still pretty bummed.
