We've had a rough year, especially the past month or two, so mine aren't very exciting. I'm hoping to make a much better 2014.
1) Watched my baby turn into a little person. He's awesome, and has so much personality. I'm grateful for all the time and loss and heartache that it took to get pregnant with him, because I can't imagine having any other child.
2) Got my driver's license at the ripe old age of 28. I always lived in cities where I never really needed it, and by the time we got to a stage where I did need it I was terrified of driving. It's so freeing to have it now, though. I was so terrified of driving that I never thought stopped to consider that I might actually enjoy it! I feel silly for having taken so long to do something that most people do as teenagers, but it was a huge fear to conquer for me.
3) We had a great family beach trip to NC over the summer. D's family used to take them yearly, and when I was pregnant his Gram decided that we all needed to go, with the wives and grandsons. Last year's was good, this year's was better because E was here. Rachel was completely enamored with E and it shows in every picture I took of them together. MIL said that he brought SO much joy to the end of her life. She passed away a few weeks ago and I'm so grateful that she had that time with the family and that we had that time with her.

2013 is in general very sucky. 3 Best things happened...:
1. Husband turning around to a better attitude to fatherhood. We have fun now as a family.
2. The end of our nanny days (which was miserable), and we ended up in a wonderful daycare. I can not ask for more.
3. our Iceland trip, despite it was miserable because LO had hand foot and mouth disease.

2013 was a crazy year for us. There were some good things, though:
1. Getting pregnant three times. Though two of them ended in losses, I now have two angel babies, both of whom I love dearly.
2. Finding out for the first time that this baby had a heartbeat. I was so relieved I was shaking. Surreal!
3. DH started a teacher certification/Masters program in January and graduated two weeks ago! So, so proud of him.
Looking forward to see what 2014 brings us!!

3) potty training - so awesome
