Personally, I like Tyler over Taylor. I go for names that can only be girl or boy names, though so that may be why. Also, I like the nickname Ty. A lot.

I also vote for Tyler because it is more masculine. I do know a girl named Tyler but I think of it as more of a boy name. Ty is a great nickname and I think Tyler John W sounds great!

Taylor is on our list of girl names so I always think if it as a girl name.

Okay so I looked at a list of animals that start with the letter W, and that are fierce...I assume your last name isn't wildcat! If its what I think it is although I've never heard of this animal I love love Taylor John! I think it's plenty masculine, an flows really well!!!

I'm just a little sad you're not considering "Were" as a middle name...

I slightly prefer Taylor. Most of the people I know named Taylor are men, so I tend to associate it as more masculine than feminine. I really like both combos, though, so you really can't go wrong!

I definitely like Tyler better. It's more masculine, has a great nickname, and I think it flows better with your last name. It's great that Taylor is a family name but I do think of it as a more feminine name and I think the fact that you are already using a family name from your husband's side makes it OK to pass on Taylor.

I'm biased, my dad's name is Tyler. But I think they're both nice!

i like the name tyler more for a boy, but looks like taylor has more of a family meaning. since you will have an awesome last name, i think taylor still sounds kinda masculine with it.

i still like tyler better though. when i think taylor, i think taylor lautner and taylor swift.

I think you can't go wrong with either, but I like Tyler better--I like Ty better than Tay as a nickname.

PS For last name games, we were thinking about naming our little boy Pike, Dante, or Max
and a little girl could be Min (Minnie?), or Chesa.
