Come on, let's focus on the positives from this weekend before we have to trudge into Monday. What was something good, great, or awesome that happened to you or someone you know? Can be more than one thing!

My husband is fiiiiiiiinally done working the weekend and will be off for the next 3 days- our weekend starts now I have not seen him since Thursday (only for a few hours on Friday, then nothing but work since).
Worth it though- as of 3pm today our shelter system had adopted out 1,700 animals- huge success!

Hubs is finally on board - and enthusiastic, despite the high cost of it! - with looking into the local Montessori academy. It's been nearly 6 months of waiting for him to warm up to the idea without me talking about it, letting him mull it over, but we're finally there! And I'm excited!
@lemondrop: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay enjoy and show me lots of pictures

@Mrs. Pen: Ooooo I saw that picture, great shot! I love rock climbing and miss it something terrible. It was so much fun. I'm glad you had such a great time!

I saw my cousin and got to meet her adorable 6mo old baby girl. She lives in CA and I'm in KS so it's a big deal!

It was a great weekend! As a family, got to watch DH swim with LO for the first time, which was adorable!
But also one of my best friends got engaged, which makes me SOOOO happy!!

We had a really fun night out with friends on Saturday. We did a lot of running around town this weekend, which isn't my favorite (the errands weren't super fun ones), but the Kings won tonight, so that's good because if they lost my husband would have been depressed for a week.

@yoursilverlining: that's super exciting!
I can't really choose; it was a very nice weekend overall.

DH and I took the babies tree shopping. We wore them in the Moby and Ergo and they did great. Getting the Moby figured out has already been a lifesaver because Alice will actually stop screaming when I wear her!

@ScarletBegonia: Wow! Jealous! Tonight mine went a four hour stretch and I was pretty excited about that! Hopefully there's another four hours in my very near future, haha.

We had a ton of fun BBQ with friends on Sat and Sunday night. DS slept great both nights because he was exhausted from playing so hard!

@Marfi: Great job! Looks great
@twodoghouse: Awwwww precious
@Dandelion: Woot! We still need one of those...
@lizzywiz: That's so great I admit to selfishly turning down offers to do things if my LOs will get to do something for the first time without me. Trip to a local farm? Nope, I want to be there.
@grizz: Yaaaaaay! Pah-tay!

Friday night we hung out with our best friends and their daughter. Fun times with the babies, and then we put them to bed and drank and ate pizza on the screened in porch. Bliss.

Mine was actually last night (so Sunday going into Monday?)...
But we tried sleep training again Friday and Saturday night. I thought it wasn't too bad but my husband is a total softy who will literally vault over furniture to pick up LO if she so much as coughs so it was hard on him...
But last night she slept from 7:30 pm-5:05 am with NO WAKEUPS!!!! First time in her 10.5 months of life!!!!!!!! Who knows if it will last, but it feels like an amazing victory for now.

@yoursilverlining: We had LOs first trim, too! She's just about 7 months and had grown this awful rat tail in back, so while DH was getting his cut, I had another lady just chop the rat tail off. Haahhaa, we're waiting to do a "real" cut until later, but I couldn't take the tail anymore!

I took an amazing toddler parenting class on Saturday. It was really helpful and also really nice to have a little time to focus on self-improvement.

I had a pampering day on Saturday as a belated Mother's Day celebration. Massage, manicure, pedicure, shopping, and sushi! And then I spent the whole evening and night with my DH and LO! We had an ice cream date and a movie date night
