It is huffington, so I KNOW it is stupid fluff, but it still got under my skin.

Basically, Modern parents are:
1- afraid of their kid's tantrums
2- have lowered expectations regarding what behavior children should exhibit
3-we don't support each other in our discipline (in her opinion, it takes a village to discipline)
4- rely too much on shortcuts and easy outs- ipads at restaurants, vibrating chairs for infants, etc.
5-parents put kid's needs above their own.

It isn't that I disagree with everything she said, it is her tone and the comments and the total lack of regard for any other approach.

And, parenting judgey jerks, exactly when do you want me to teach my 2 year old to wait at a restaurant without entertainment? Perhaps when we are sitting next to you on your special evening out? Or is it only ipads that aren't allowed? It's ok for me to read her a book or color with her while she waits but evil technology must be avoided? That makes no sense.
And no vibrating/ rocking/ bouncy chair for infants? People have been finding unique ways to comfort babies since the beginning of time! UGH!
What do you think?
