LO is 1 yr old and for the past few months, he has been getting tired anywhere between 2 hours to 2.5 hours from when he first wakes up in the morning. He usually doesn't show signs of being tired until I take him to his nursery and start putting on his sleep sack. Cue the yawning and rubbing eyes then! So sometimes I just have to watch the clock and do a little guesswork that he's tired. One thing I've noticed is when we are around the time of the next nap, I'll look at his eyes. He seems to have a "tired" look...baggy undereyes or red around his nose/eyes. Maybe this isn't for every baby but I've noticed it on mine.

How has your naptime routine been when you put your LO down 3 hours after she wakes up? If there are no issues and she goes down easily, perhaps that is just the way she wants to sleep. If she is waking up prematurely from her nap or does not want to go down easily, then maybe look at the clock and take her to her room and play quietly there with the lights off. See if that makes her give you tired cues.
