My 2 year old has been on a nap strike all week long. I've only gotten him to nap one day, and that was for 20 minutes. He also refuses to have quiet time in his room. And he has not made it up by extra sleep at night.

He's on the younger side of two, and I feel like he's too young to stop napping altogether - he's obviously tired and cranky. But I would settle for quiet time in his room. I know the standard tip is to just keep putting him back in his bed with a basket of books or quiet activities until he learns to stay there. Unfortunately, I'm inevitably trying to feed his baby sister during part of the never-ending effort to get him to nap, which makes it hard to repeatedly put him back in bed. He sees that and starts running around like a little maniac.

Obviously the whole situation is not helped by the fact that I'm supposed to be working, so getting him to nap or have quiet time would be really, really, really useful. Anybody else have a kid go on a nap strike that later went back to napping? Tips?
