Share your nap secrets! How did you get you LO to nap as an infant? I know at that age it's so hard to have a schedule to it, but I'm more interested in what worked for you to just get them down?
DD is almost six weeks and up until the past week she was fairly easy to get to nap, which I attribute to the sleepy newborn phase. Because of that I never actively put her down for a nap until last weekend. Now after 45 minutes of awake time (including eating) she's a fussy mess and obviously needs to be put asleep. I try to catch it early and walk/bounce her around the house with some varying success. Usually while we're doing that she's rooting and smacking her lips like crazy. I feel bad not feeding her and give in most of the time and let her fall asleep on the breast. I'm not super worried about making a habit of it since she's so young, but she doesn't always fall asleep after eating AND I want to be able to do it without the crutch and to have "putting baby down" in my arsenal of skills
ETA: She's a chronic 20-45 minute napper and hates the paci so far.
