House of Cards and Orange is the New Black are AWESOME! I started to watch Revenge and lost interest, but I know a lot of people love it.

What about Downton Abbey?

House of Cards doesn't have too many redeeming characters, so I'd go with Orange is the New Black (although both are AMAZING)

ETA: I've been watching Luther and really liking it, too.

Call the Midwife? Although I don't know if your DH will like it - but it is so good.

We have your exact taste and I think Blacklist would be a GREAT fit! We love House of Cards too.

I don't think it's on Netflix (but if you have Amazon Prime you can watch it for free on Amazon), but my husband and I both love Suits. It is a really well-written show that is often really funny!

Have you seen Friday Night Lights?
Reminds me of Parenthood in some ways, and I love both. We also do a lot of Seinfeld reruns on Crackle around here.
I tried Orange is the New Black for a couple episodes and it did nothing positive for me. Not sure what people like about it.

House of Cards especially since you will have seasons 1 and 2 to watch.

Of those you already listed I enjoyed Brothers and Sisters (but might be too real life drama for your DH), House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. I would also recommend Suits (so good!) and how I met your mother (for something light).

Some of are absolute favorites are Mad Men, The Good Wife, Downton Abbey (even my husband liked the earlier seasons), and White Collar.

We are two episodes away from finishing the first season of blacklist!

I like to have some shows on my list that I "watch" while on my computer or doing some light homework, so for that I like Melissa & Joey, HIMYM, Emily Owen's MD, Hawthorne RN, Hart of Dixie.

Brothers and sisters was cancelled so it ended abruptly with zero closure. I loved it, but then it was just gone.
