My 6 week old has never been much of a sleeper. Most days he may take an hour long nap and not much else. Sometimes that nap isn't even until 4 pm or so. He fights every drop of sleep he can.

After a day awake, you'd think he might pass out eventually and sleep well at night, but that's a fight in itself. We always start his bedtime routine between 6-7 pm (shower, pj's, book and bottle/nurse), but he fights sleep until at least 11:30 every night. And then he's up to eat at 2 and 4 am, and often refuses to go back down until 6:30 am (then up at 7:30 always). He's just always wide awake.

I've been trying my hardest to get him down when I see any signs of sleepiness, but they are honestly rare. I see him yawn maybe twice a day. I'm just so exhausted and he doesn't even seemed phased by how little he sleeps. There are plenty of 24 hour periods in which he's only slept 6 hours or so. Then, of course, he chooses a day a week or so to sleep literally all day, then the cycle starts over.

I guess I just need some support. My biggest desire right now is just trying to get him to bed at a reasonable hour. Anyone have advice?
