We are heading to Vancouver, BC for the first time this weekend and need some recommendations for kid-friendly activities. We will only be there Friday - Sunday. Any tips?

There are so many great things! I would definitely check out the Vancouver Aquarium and spend some time in Stanley Park! You could make a day of it, there’s a great water park/splash pad that your 2.5yo would enjoy.
Science World is another good one but I would choose the aquarium over science world.
There are tons of good beaches and outdoor pools. Kits Beach has an amazing outdoor pool (plus the beach is right there too) and so does New Brighton Park.
Where are you staying?

I second the aquarium. It's a really nice one!! Since it is in Stanley park, you can take a walk around there too then.

Yes to above! Mine line the capilano bridges too.
There will probably be fireworks on the first for Canada Day too!
Stanley Park is a must!

@peaches1038: I would also recommend the aquarium and there is an awesome train in Stanley Park very near the aquarium that my kids love! Perfect day. I would go to the aquarium early though, plan to be there before 10am, just in time for opening.
After aquarium and train I'd come back into coal harbour for lunch at Cardero's. Great food and atmosphere, right on the water. Good kids menu and family friendly!
If you're into swimming or water parks, kits pool and second beach pool are both incredible. Our favourite water park in coal harbour has a restaurant (Tap Shack) directly beside it and lots of grass to play and picnic.
On Sunday you could enjoy Canada day festivities on Robson street or Granville Island.
Enjoy your time in Vancouver!

@QBbride: @Lahela017: @fuzzypeaches: @Autumnmama79: thank you all! We did the Stanley park train and aquarium and then the suspension bridge! We also went downtown and saw the steam clock! It was a great trip and I can’t wait to go back!!

@peaches1038: awesome! Glad you enjoyed it! I grew up in Vancouver and just moved away a year ago! The aquarium was my favourite to take my kids to!
