I just finished all seasons of West Wing. I can't believe I'd never seen it before!!
Secretly I love watching cheesy lifetime-esque movies or cheesy romantic comedies - there are a ton on Netflix.
Also some really great documentaries.

@APRK: We're on season 5 of West Wing right now! I'd watched the first three seasons as they aired, but DH hadn't seen any of it before.
I'm also watching Alias and DH is watching ALL of Star Trek (but skipping episodes he doesn't like).

@aprk: +1 on West Wing! It's my favorite show! We are also watching Fringe because we never watched it when it aired, and DH is a giant kid so we watch the Cartoon Network stuff
Call the Midwife is on there, and that's really good, as is Sherlock!

Ok, so that's 3 votes for West Wing. I started Parenthood, since it was mentioned the other day, so when I burn out on this, I'll go for the West Wing.
Call the Midwife is another good idea.

Just started Call the Midwife last night, and I really like it! We also love Top Gear and are about to start Sherlock !

@Bao: @regberadaisy: It's about nurse midwives and nuns in London's East End in the early 1960's. It's narrarted by one of the nurse midwifes later in life. It's a drama about the people, and they deliver babies every episode, too. I love it.
