@Hanasu: I agree! Great choice by the way! I have a1996 Sr5 (manual). It's got 186k miles on it and is still going strong

We're thinking about doing this. I drive a CT200h that won't fit a car seat and stroller, so we're considering trading DH's RAV4 for an RX350 and all the gear will go in that car.

We traded in my Mazda 3 for a Toyota Venza and we love it so far! There's so much more room and we're definitely going to need it!

I've always wanted a suv but am worried because of the gas prices and lower mpg. Maybe if the selection of hybrids or fuel efficient SUVs improves a bit I'll finally get my wish in the future whenever we start ttc! I currently have a Honda accord that would work just fine albeit the two doors would probably become annoying with a car seat and needing to go in and out the backseat to take lo in and out!

We recently just bought a used 2000 Chrysler town and
Country minivan that had only 40k on it. They were elderly (like in their 80s) and barely ever used the thing. We got such a good deal on it. Then we sold hubby's beloved Audi because we didnt need 3 cars and Audi's are so freaking expensive to maintain!

When we got pregnant with #2, we decided we needed a second car with more space than our Subaru Legacy. We got a Volvo XC90; our main car is a Volvo xc70, but the 90 comes with third row seating!

I had an escape & it probably would have worked fine for DD but my lease was up & we decided to buy me a Jeep Compass.

Yup, traded in DH's little Nissan Sentra commuter vehicle for a crossover SUV. And now my old Honda Accord is going to be his commuter car whenever the baby arrives.

Yup, we traded my husband's 2-door Honda for an SUV. It's NICE having the extra space!

We're getting one to replace my car (2004 Chevy Cavalier-- BASIC car with manual windows and locks). I hate having manual windows and locks! I can only imagine what a PITA it'll be to try and get a baby in/out of a car by unlocking my door, opening it, reaching behind, unlocking the backseat, etc.
We're looking at a small SUV (like a Rav-4 or CR-V)-- probably used. We might lease a new Rav-4 or CR-V if the price is right.

We are going to get a SUV. Possibly the chevy traverse. My husband drives a Ford Ranger right now and I have a commuter car, so we could definitely use something bigger.

We did We needed a new car anyway (we only had 1 car and DH ended up having to use it for work) but we definitely reconsidered the kind of car we were getting because we’d found out that I was pregnant. We got an SUV!

We are debating adding another car. DH has a small SUV and I have two feet. I don't know if we'll need the extra car. I'm thinking we'll get me a Prius V and then swap DH's Subaru for a minivan down the road.
Do you need two cars with a baby?
