We are taking LO's newborn photos on Sat, and I am trying to figure out what to wear, especially given my body almost one week post partum.
What did you wear? What worked? What didn't?

It didn't even occur to me that we'd be in the photos too!
I wore a grey tunic and black leggings.
My husband was in jeans and a t-shirt.

I kept it simple. I wore a white tank and DH wore a white polo. I didn't have the energy to put together anything else.

Agree with keeping it simple. And Usually you're only cropped in part of the shot, so basically I'd worry about neckline & arms (since you're likely to be holding the baby). DH wore white, I wore a pinkey-nude blouse.

@Mrs. J: we did 4 week photos, so my body was OK looking (at least wasn't swollen anymore) and I wore a black cami with a dark gray ribbed cardigan over it. I also wore some long necklaces to cover my gigantic breasts. It thinned me pretty well and I looked polished. Also, it was easy to nurse because I pushed the cardi over and pulled the cami down.
Looked much like this (google image).

@TurtleDoves: that's what I was thinking. My boobs are HUGE right now, which makes it hard!

@Mrs. J: oh and I did not wear skinny jeans and boots. I wore my maternity pants TBH and flats. The shots only showed me from the side (silhouette shot) and one shot showed my arm (holding the baby in my hand shot).

I wore black crop pants and a white tank with a red top. Very simple. We were in just a couple of photos. They were mainly of LO.

I wore a white dress. It was comfy and luckily not form fitting. I also had gained 70 lbs with that pregnancy and don't think I would have been happy in anything I was wearing lol

I just wore a white tank top. I was only in the photos from the shoulders up…which was awesome, because halfway through the pictures I was in, baby peed and pooped all over me! It was quite the glamorous photo shoot.

We used our hospital's photographer when LO was one day old. I wore a nursing tank and a gray maternity wrap cardigan with black maternity yoga pants.

I wore a grey nursing tank and maternity pants. DH wore jeans and black t-shirt. We're barely in the photos and both got peed/pooped on, so it was good enough.

I wore a pair of maternity jeans and a green 3/4 sleeve tee. DH wore jeans and a blue button down shirt. He did put on his soccer jersey for a few shots, though.

I wore a black jersey dress so that we faded into the black background, and LO was the focus.

I would wear something looser(but not baggy/shapeless). I wore a non maternity shirt and looking back it was wayyy too tight .

I wore a nursing tank and a black dressy maternity top and some jeans. Just wanted to be comfy.
