DH is completely insistent that if we ever have a boy, his name will be Malcolm. It's a family name that's really important to him and apparently he's *always* known that's what he wants to name a son.

It's honestly not my favorite name (no offense to anyone!). It's not a name I would have considered if DH wasn't set on it. I've tried persuading him into making it a middle name, but he really wants it as a first name.

Mac is the most obvious nickname but I REALLY dislike that name because of negative associations. I think Mal (like from Firefly!) is a decent nickname. Those are the only 2 I can think of.

Can anyone come up with others?
