DH and I are still negotiating names, but we think we both like Oliver Quinn L_____ (2 syllable last name). DD is Evelyn "Evie" (eee-veee) Inara L_____. We'd like Oliver to have a nickname, too.

I think "Olie" would get pronounced as "Oh-Lee" a lot.

I'd say it depends on how you want to say it...
Olie = Oh-Lee
Ollie = Ah-Lee.I'd go with Ollie.

Do you write their nicknames a lot? We have an Evelyn also who we can ev-ie but I never write it down, I always write down her full name. Just asking out of curiosity!

@gotkimchi: I was going to say that we named our son a full name and intended on calling him just by his nickname. He is 4 and recently declared he only wants to go by his full name, which is fine, but not what we planned. So if you really want to just use the nickname, I would just name them that.
