Did you have the night sweats bad after baby? Do you remember how long that lasted and when they went away?
It's cold out now, so it's extra awesome waking up sweaty to feed the baby, then when she is done I get back into bed and the sheets are cold and wet with my sweat. Over it! Baby is 5 weeks and no sign of stopping.

I think I remember sleeping on a towel the first few weeks with LO1. They suck so bad--nothing makes me feel gross like sweaty sheets

Yeah I slept on a bath sheet with DS and it took a while to stop no IV with DD so no night sweats.

It took months for me. I still get really hot over night. Before baby I was always cold.

OMG, yes! It was unreal. Lasted for 1-2 weeks, I think! It didn't start right away, though...it took a few days. I remember the first time was the same night D slept through a feeding - I woke up drenched in sweat AND breastmilk!

I think it lasted 8-10 weeks. I just felt gross. Leaking and sweating. Like change the sheets sweating. I was a hot mess. Literally

same - sweating buckets for a few months!
I still get super sweaty at night (like hair must be up or I soak the underside of it) and I never used to before having a baby.

My kids were born in May, so I'm pretty sure it lasted all summer. I'm actually still pretty sweaty at night at almost 21 months post partum...

I'm so glad you posted this! I'm 2 weeks pp with my second and woke up in the middle of the night to feed and was drenched. I totally forgot about night sweats from the first time around. I don't remember how long it lasted, maybe a month or two? Probably stops around the time the hair loss starts!

@MrsSRS: no IV for either baby but I can remember waking up sweating in the hospital. Baby is 5 weeks old and it's still intense.
@Smurfette: @rachiecakes: weird that it still happens so much later. I was hoping it will end by the time the hair loss starts.

@Foodnerd81: It isn't near as bad but I can't sleep with bottoms on any more, well just underwear, or I wake up in sweats.

@Smurfette: huh- my bottom is never the problem, it's my top- cheat arms and face- either are soaked. I have to sleep in a tank top but then I have to put a long sleeve shirt over when I sit up to feed the baby because I'm cold and damp. Like running out of the gym into the cold.

@Foodnerd81: I will be sweaty all over, but I have found that if I just don't go to sleep with bottoms on it helps a lot. That and not sleeping with the quilt on me.

@Foodnerd81: same as @Smurfette it's nothing like the first few months but I sweat way more at night than I ever did before. I just wear light PJs and only use one blanket.
I told my husband if he was cold he could wear something warmer to bed, lol

@Foodnerd81: for me it's my chest, neck, back that gets really hot and sweaty (my face probably too, but I don't really notice it). My hair has to be up and I wear a cami or a light tshirt with bottoms.

@Foodnerd81: oh wild! I thought it was related to the extra fluids. Guess not! Actually that's pretty obvious, huh? No way a few bags of fluids would last weeks. I'm a dork.

yes, this definitely happened to me. it was in the middle of a very hot summer, too, so I was already hardly wearing anything to bed! It lasted about 3 months.

@MrsSRS: I believe it's just all the extra fluids from pregnancy in general? Not sure why it lasts so long though. Yay hormones.

@Foodnerd81: Ugh. I remember it ending with DS about when my supply regulated because I also stopped waking up covered in milk. So I guess it was 6-8 weeks?

OMG!! YES!! Mine started the night after I gave birth. It was so weird. I even asked the nurse if it was normal because our room was freezing cold, but I was sweating my ass off. She's like yep!
I slept on a towel at home for about 2 weeks before they stopped. Thank goodness. It was so gross feeling!

I think it lasted a couple of months with my middle child. It was gross. I had no issues with it for my first or third. (All born fall/winter.)

Oh my god, yes. Between bleeding, leaking, and sweating I felt so gross in the morning! I think it lasted close to a month.

@sapphire: yes! I think I shower more with a newborn than I did before kids! I'm just so gross I have to every day (sadly not on my schedule though).

i definitely had it but can't recall when it stopped, the whole timeline of the newborn period is so fuzzy to me.
