We did some sleep-training early (about 3.5 months) in an attempt to just get them to fall asleep on their own. They not only did that, but they started sleeping from about 8:30-5 a.m. It was glorious. A couple weeks later, though they hit the four-month sleep regression followed by two months of one illness after the other. They were eaking up often and we fed them bottles. They've both been healthy for the last 2 weeks but they're still waking up at least 2-3 times.

DH and I are at the end of our ability to keep going. Neither of us ever gets a break since we have two and split night duties. This weekend we tried letting them CIO for about 20 minutes with one check at 10 minutes. We've ended up feeding every time except once when F went back to sleep. What do I need to do here?? They fall asleep in their own fine still, so I'm not sure it's really a sleep-training issue. I'm fine with an early morning feeding (like when they were waking at 5), but we really just need a chunk of sleep again that's longer than 2-3 hours. We've never done any intentional night weaning, so I'm not sure what that even looks like. Do we just let them CIO longer? I tried taking down their feedings to a smaller number of oz thinking I could gradually work down to no bottle, but they just got more peeved looking for the rest of their bottle!

Please, please tell me what you would do. I have been on the verge of tears every day at work for the last two weeks because I just cannot keep going like this.
