I like to wear makeup that looks very natural, like I'm not even wearing any (sheer, glowy, rosy). But no way could I actually do that on the reg.
I'm not on the market for anything in particular, but I love hearing real life testimonials. I read a lot of beauty blogs and such, and the choices can be overwhelming. I basically want everything!

I'm personally more of a 'makeup makeup' girl, but glossier stuff is really nice and definitely has that natural look. I have their cover up and boy brow and both are great. I've heard good things about all their stuff if that's your aesthetic. The pics on their website show everything on different skin tones which I think is pretty cool.

From the sets I don't love the skin tint. I don't hate it but it's not my fave. I use it every couple of weeks or so.

Laura mercier mineral foundation powder (my skin is meh and I've been wearing this for years and I always get compliments on how great my skin looks when I wear it)
Laura mercier tinted moisturizer (not oil free version)
NARS tinted moisturizer
Also It cosmetics makes a good bb cream or cc or whatever it's called if I want a tiny bit more coverage

I've always liked to wear a decent amount of makeup, but as I've gotten older I've started wearing less noticeable makeup so that it's not as obvious.
I love NYX and I wear NYX BB Cream everyday. It covers well for a BB cream, but is still lighter than a regular foundation.
I also use the Fresh tinted lip treatment in Rose. It looks very natural, but has a hint of a nice rosy glow. I wear this at least 3-4 times a week.

Also for something with a touch more staying power, I like to take benefit's benetint in rose and dab that on my lips and rub in. Then put a sheer balm over it. It looks like your natural lips but with a little more oomph and since it's a stain it lasts and you can just re-moisturize as needed.

I almost never wear makeup, but when I need to take photos, I wear bare minerals powder and maybe a tinted chapstick (mostly the burt's bees ones that are like 4mm across, the skinny ones).

@Silva: yes! As I've gotten older I've gotten way more into skin care. Not just basic wash and moisturize but serums, masks, scrubs, etc. Since my son sleeps early and all night I love just doing one nice thing for my skin a few times a week. A mask or whatever. I still haven't found a serum I'm obsessed with but I want to try Glossier's so badly! And there are a ton on VioletGrey.com that I'm lusting but they are so expensive.

I'm a makeup girl but I have many no makeup kind of days! I may be a tiny pit partial because I'm a distributor but I love the color correcting tinted moisturizer from Senegence. It's light but has good coverage and I wear it daily whether I'm doing a "no makeup day" or a full face. They make a great under eye cream that is an eye illuminator and I swear it wakes up these tired mama eyes. I wear that with just some gloss sometimes to make myself feel a little more put together but it takes five seconds.

I'm a minimalist when it comes to make up and I love Laura Mercier products. I never wear anything on my face besides blush. I tend to focus more on the eyes.

My everyday go to for me is Clinique Perfectly Real foundation - it gives me the most natural, sheer, even skin when I just need some evening out. I like putting a drop of face oil in my palm and mix it with foundation to get an even dewier and sheer look.
I usually do my brows with a brow marker because it looks more natural when I can draw on individual hair-like marks. I have Anastasia but I have also used cheaper ones - same difference.
Mascara I've been liking one coat of OG L'Oréal voluminous carbon black and one coat of Maybelline Lash Sensational Full Fan effect - basically a voluminizing followed by a lengthening mascara.
I'm doing a metallic champagne/rose cream shadow on my lids only.
I'm using an Elf cosmetics blush (Twinkle Pink) that I think is a Nars Orgasm knock off.
Lips I leave natural or use Revlon colorstay gloss in Sunbaked.

I do sheer or tinted balms, I have Burt's Bees Red Dahlia right now. I also use mineral blush in a pinky-peach. I love makeup, but I don't think my face handles heavy looks well!

I really found that a few products applied differently make all the difference in my overall look.
As an example, I layer peach corrector, then concealer in my undereye area. Since I have darker lids, I put concealer on my eye lids as well, and it really makes me look much more awake.
Then I do regular foundation, Bobbi Brown matches my skin tones the best, but applied with a toothbrush style makeup brush...it's a knockoff of the pricy Artis brushes, but it works really well and blends beautifully.
I really want to purchase a new blush, I have my eye on one but the name is escaping me...it's one of those ones that have many shades all swirled together and it highlights as well as blushes. I just need to finish up my current palette right now as I have implemented a pretty strict usage rule.

I don't wear much makeup day to day but when I do I like it really simple. I love Dr. Jart Premium beauty Balm with SPF. Just evens things out without feeling (or looking) heavy.
I love the Fresh Lip treatments, specifically the berry. But I found a cheap dupe I like that really competes though. The Nivea kiss of care and color sheer in berry.

I'm not really a makeup person, but I do love the UD Naked 2 palette. It's mostly neutral. I don't have very good makeup skills, but I always feel a little more put together when I use it, along with Diorshow Extase mascara. I don't use anything else in the way of makeup, but have gotten more into skincare products like serums.

Ill echo the fresh lip treatments (I love the rose). Along with the LM stuff I mentioned above, I've never repurchased a product so many times as I have the fresh lip products.
For eyes I love the laura mercier caviar stick eye shadows. They stay put and are so easy to swipe on. I wear the barely there nudes only on date nights etc
I also really have been liking the ole Hendrickson line as well as the Clinique moisture surge regular and intense moisturizers. My skin has really gotten much better (and I say that 14 weeks pregnant. With my last kid at 14 weeks my skin was a disaster)
Oh and if it helps, because we all have different skin types. I have light skin (I wear real sand or nude in LM) combination skin, red undertones.

face - bare minerals complexion rescue, and sometimes hourglass dim lit face powder over the top if I need a bit more coverage.
eyes - if I really need eyeshadow I'll use clinique lucky penny shadow. mascara, bare minerals flawless definition - it washes off very easily no racoon eyes.
lips - bare minerals pop of passion lip oil-balm, nude passion for day to day and plumberry pop when I need a burst of colour.

If we are talking skin care, I have had excellent results using an essence after removing my makeup for the night.
I use the oil cleansing method to remove makeup, then while my face is still wet, I spritz on an essence, I am using one from Missha. Then a couple of times a week, I use a snail mucin cream at night.
During the day, I use a sunscreen with mexoryl, it's a double duty product because mexoryl is shown to improve the skin's wrinkle situation.
I also use beta hydroxy pads a couple times a month.

@Littlebit7: @Alba4: Do you guys use her primer at all? I have the illuminating one and there is a bronzing one that I love. I think the bronzing one is discontinued but I recently found it on Amazon and it was still a normal price.
I use both of those when I want to look natural but a little extra glowy - like a date night or something.

@SweetiePie: actually I stopped using a primer when I started using the Clinique moisture surge intense. It coincidentally makes a fantastic primer without the need for another product. Your skin feels like velvet after using it. Upside to Clinique...they will fill sample size tiny jars for you to try out
I found her primer tended to make me a little shiny (I tend to get shiny).

@Littlebit7: Oh interesting! I actually don't use the primers for my skin, I like them both for that illumination factor. But you're overall really selling the Clinique. I'll have to check it out.
I love intense hydrators. Currently I'm using Drunk Elephant LaLa Retro Whipped Cream. I LOVE it especially for winter. Summer it's a little intense but I still like it since my skin is super dry.
I want to try everything Drunk Elephant makes but it's hard to justify, especially all at once.
I also got a sample of Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hylauronic Cloud Cream. Loooove. It was like rubbing water into your face that absorbed in. I don't know how to explain it. So silky.
ETA: ah just saw your shiny comment. I'm very dry so I have the opposite problem. So yeah the illuminator is prob not the best for you.

@SweetiePie: yeah I hadn't used Clinique I a while (not since high school) but I've circled back. If you like that peter Thomas Roth you should check out tidal by Sunday Riley. It seems similar.
I'm a product junkie too. I love buying makeup even though in my daily life I don't wear that much;)

@Littlebit7: Bascially the entire Sunday Riley line is on my wishlist too! I have the luna night oil right now that I use about every other night. I could use it nightly but I have a couple other things I like to rotate. Maybe I should use it a ton over the next week because if I get pregnant from my FET next week I'll stop (retinol).

I use Mac BB cream with 25 or 30 spf. A pink blush and diorshow mascara for low makeup days. With a little Bobbi Brown lip gloss.

@SweetiePie: Yeah, I had the same problem. I used to live in walking distance to a Sephora when I lived in NYC and it was a problem! I would buy things on my way home and then just had palettes that I never wore! I finally gave them all to my cousin years ago and I swore I would control myself. And I have!

A good under eye concealer has been like magic when I don't want to look as exhausted as I am (I like Tarte and Smashbox). That plus curling lashes and a little of that cheapie mascara you can get anywhere (forget the name, but it's hot pink with the lime handle). If I'm feeling it, a cheek stain by Tarte and the skinny tinted Burts Bees lip stuff... all takes about 3 minutes and looks natural.
