No morning sickness = bad pregnancy outcomes?

No morning sickness whatsoever with DS1. Maybe I was nauseous one day ever. Totally healthy kid.

With DS2 I was nauseous all the time in the first tri. Never puked. Totally healthy kid.

My losses were all really early, no chance for morning sickness or not.

Every pregnancy so different. But I understand and hope you start feeling terrible very soon

With H, I had very mild nausea for a couple of weeks during my commute home. That's it. This time, I'm so sick. Every pregnancy is different.

Three pregnancies, no morning sickness, one m/c, two healthy boys. I don't think it means much (though I do think symptoms disappearing can mean bad things (as it did for me), but not always.

I had no morning sickness and I am 33 weeks today. My Mom didn't have any with either of her pregnancies as well, so I think it has to do more with genetics than anything.

@catlady: that's interesting and so reassuring!

@jaguar: I didn't vote because I was somewhere in the middle btwn horrid and none--just queasiness, food aversions, and this heavy hung-over feeling that was pretty persistent from 6w5d until about 10.5 weeks. I didn't feel *any* queasiness before 6w5d, though, and I was freaking out about it. and then I freaked out more that I wasn't vomiting or worse off. but I just had a checkup and everything is okay so far (14w).

Two healthy babies... No morning sickness at all.

One mc at 7 weeks and no sickness for that one either.

I think it just depends on your body.

With my LO (now 2 yo), I had minimal morning sickness, and it didn't start until after 6 weeks...my miscarriage, I had horrible nausea. Hang in there and praying for a beautiful pregnancy for you!

I was hopelessly sick with M and that turned out fine but everyone in my family thought I was an exaggerator because none of them ever had MS despite lots of healthy babies!

No morning sickness at all, not even the slightest hint of a queasy stomach, and I've got two LOs and am almost into the third tri with my third baby. MS = healthy pregnancy was absolutely not true for me.

Praying for wonderful news and a strong little baby growing right on target tomorrow!

I think the sick = sticky baby, not sick = miscarriage is a total myth.
I have had 2 healthy babies and 2 miscarriages (8wk & 12wk), all 4 pregnancies was horribly sick starting at 6.5+/- weeks.

I didn't vote, but I only had very MILD morning sickness with both my pregnancies, and if I made sure I never got hungry (continued snacking), I didn't have any at all. Both pregnancies resulted in healthy babies!

Mine was just like @LCTBQE: didn't start until after 6 weeks and tapered off significantly around 10 weeks. I get brief periods of queasiness now at 11 weeks 6 days, but very minimal. My mother has zero morning sickness and two healthy babies, no miscarriages.

I'm 40 weeks with my first and had absolutely no morning sickness. My only early symptom was a bit of fatigue and I have had a perfectly normal/healthy pregnancy.

Thank you guys so much for weighing in. I have had a bunch of other stuff (cramps, bleeding etc) - so maybe that's where my preggo symptoms are focusing. I just can't help but compare to others who are sick, especially with a history of crappy luck! Hopefully the scan later today is a positive one. xx

No morning sickness for DS1. I had some nausea, off and on, but it was barely anything.

My m/c, I had nausea and a lot of gagging/dry heaving.

DS2 I had extreme nausea, but no actual vomiting.

I had slight morning sickness with DD (if I let myself go hungry), and she's due in 1.5 weeks!

I think it's a total crapshoot! I've had it go 3 different ways. Morning sickness doesn't kick in for me until about week 7....

I did not have one hint of morning sickness until 7.5 weeks and have a very healthy boy.

I had no morning sickness at all and I was soooo relieved to actually hear a heartbeat at 8 weeks and know that there really was a baby in there.

Can't wait to hear how your scan goes. There really is just no way to know based on symptoms if you are going to carry all the way to term or not, but I know it's impossible to keep from second-guessing. Fingers crossed.

PG #1 - No ms, spotting all first tri, no other symptoms = now 3 yo DS
PG #2 - awful ms, no spotting, missed miscarriage @ 9 weeks
PG #3 - awful ms from 6 wks on, no spotting, 36 weeks along now

It is so unnerving that there aren't more reliable positive indicators! Wishing you much luck and sending good thoughts for your scan today!

Your poll doesn't have choices for multiple options, so I said no morning sickness and happy outcome, which happened in my first pregnancy.

Pregnancy 1 - no morning sickness, successful
Pregnancy 2 - no morning sickness, m/c (but I m/c before I would have really had morning sickness anyway)
Pregnancy 3 - bad morning sickness, successful

I think you'll find lots of answers for every option. Good luck!!

Cross posting here because I forgot....

Still pregnant! We saw and heard the heartbeat today, 133bpm, up from 94bpm last week.
Baby is measuring 2days behind my EDD (which OB said is perfectly fine) and is now 8.3mm.. growing! (It was 2mm last week.)
One day at a time - but GROWTH! It also appears that I am having a baby tadpole.

Doc doesn't seem concerned about lack of sickness, so I'm trying not to be. My boobs feel incredibly heavy, though. Like saggy bags of oranges.
