@pachamama: Hey! So, we saw baby on Tuesday for our IVF ultrasound and measuring 7w3d, looked good. I won't see it again until next Wednesday, so just hoping all is still ok.

Still mainly symptom free except for some shooting back/butt pains. 8w today! x

@jaguar: don't stress about the no symptoms thing. Some people have none. I hardly had anything til I think 11 weeks.

@jaguar: wow 8w already!! I know time probably feels like it is going by so slowly though. It is for me. So glad to hear everything is going well. I don't have many symptoms and in all my other pregnancies I've been sick right away. I'm trying to not let it bother me and enjoy the fact I am not feeling hungover all the time.

@delight: Spoke too soon, it seems!

Cross posted from October thread -

So I had a huge bleed yesterday and ended up in ER last night. Another one, man. Just horrific. Waited around for hours and they finally got me scanned - the world's oldest u/s machine and through the belly, not internally.

Somehow baby is still hanging on, but because of the bleed and the cramping, they're deeming it a threatened miscarriage. Just have to rest at home.

@jaguar: oh no I'm sorry you are going through all of this. My heart sank as I was reading. I am praying for you and Olaf and hope this little babe is a real fighter. Take care of yourself and rest. We are all thinking of you!

@jaguar: I'm so sorry you are having these issues still. Did your baby still have a heartbeat? Were the doctors able to measure the baby's size? I hope you can go the your RE on Monday. I'm still having bleeding and I'm 16 weeks today. I'm hoping for the best for you!!

@agold: It was a crap machine. No measuring at all. We could see baby through belly & there was still a flicker, but that's all we saw. Then a cervical check (closed but with signs of bleeding) .. I went home to sleep. The bleeding is just brown when I wipe now (prob from the cervix) and my back is really sore.

It's Sunday here so just have to wait til this time tomorrow morning to ring OB and see what happens now.

@jaguar: hopefully since you could still see the flickering and the bleeding has gone to brown it is just a scary false alarm. Hope you can get some reassurance from your OB tomorrow!

@jaguar: this bleeding sounds so stressful, I'm so sorry. But a relief that little Bebe is still hanging on! Rest up & sending good vibes x

It just started back up again. Probably not going to bother going back to hospital so will just have to ride it out at home.

  34. agold

    grapefruit / 4045 posts

@jaguar: Brown or red? You know that brown blood is nothing to be too concerned about because it's old blood. I seriously had both red bleeding and then constant brown spotting for so many weeks. There is still evidence of the brown blood when I get checked out. Be sure to get checked by your RE asap tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you and hoping for the best. It's so great you saw the heart flickering. That's such a good sign.

    pomegranate / 3764 posts

@agold: Red again hun. Not gushing like yesterday, but it's there. I wish I could ring my OB now... just have to wait til they open tomorrow morning & hope he can squeeze me in.

@jaguar: So sorry you're going through this. You may already know this but at least at the hospital I went to, the paperwork deems any bleeding a "threatened miscarriage." Hoping for the best!
