I totally thought I'd have more time to post as a SAHM I thought I'd have all this free time. WRONG! I have barely been on since becoming one. And I have no friends in our new town (ok, well sort of do, but not demanding ones). It's T that is THAT DEMANDING all the time. And not napping much.
Did you think or do you think you'd have more time to post as a SAHM vs. working?

I just went back to work, but very part time, and I thought I'd have more time for everything when I'm home with LO. I've found that the day goes by at lightning speed though! Like one minute is 8 am, and the next DH is on his way home and I'm still in my pjs and haven't made the bed!

I used to spend all day on HB at work! Now I can mostly keep up with the blog but I only get to pop in on the boards sometimes. Definitely not much free time!

Sahm here and it's so hard to find any time during the day to do anything not LO-related. I def had more time to just BE when I worked!

I usually don't open my laptop except when LO is napping and I'm avoiding cleaning/cooking/whatever else. I usually post from my phone when E is otherwise occupied with a toy he doesn't want to share with me.

@winniebee: Haha I try to play with him...I'll start playing his xylophone, for example, and he gets mad and takes the stick away from me and starts banging on it himself. But I have to be present, though...I can't sit in the recliner while he plays on the floor, I have to be on the floor WITH him.

I usually HB from my phone during feedings or before/after she sleeps. She IS definitely all-time-consuming and also not much of a napper.

On Friday's when I'm off in the summer, I have to keep my sole focus on her. I don't like to use my phone that much in front of her so, I'll catch up at nap time, unless you napping myself... Haha.

My baby is still super young so I've got it easier than you ladies for now but I find I've been posting more because I'm up in the night and I can't go back to sleep even when LO can!! I will be at home for 6 months so we will see how quickly the posting tails off as she grows and gets more demanding!

I'm pretty lucky in that LO is a good sleeper. She sleeps in later then me (that's why I'm on now), takes a good nap, and then there's always night time. So I have 3 times throughout the day that I can come on and post.

I calculated once, when I was a SAHM, I was spending something like 5 hours per day on line. Now, granted, I was abroad and without any way to spend my time and my son was on 2 naps until 20 months, sooo....

I really don't have much time as a SAHM. By the time I try to answer a post someone needs something and I never get back to it.

@winniebee: It was exaggerated, partly because I was abroad and couldn't really do any home projects because we weren't sure how we were moving back to the US. So, rather than do my usual project stuff, I wasted time online.
I also should say I did an online certification program too, but I finished that with time to spare!

But yes being a SAHM is demanding and LO gets all over the computer!
