Hi!
LO will be 6m Saturday (where did the time go)!
Mid-march we CIO sleep trained (and paci weaned) and went from 3-18 wakings per night to one (1!!!), and it was/has been unreal. So I feel insane + wacky for "whining" with our current situation!
LO goes to bed 7/7:30 ish. No crying, no problem, lay her down, zip her up in sleep sack, she babbles to herself for a bit and eventually conks out. She wakes anywhere from 3:30am to 5am for her bottle and absolutely will not go back to sleep after that waking.....unless.....I give the paci, and even then it's hit or miss (with run-ins to give it back to her -she chucks it across the room). The last week or so it has been this way, prior to this, she woke for the day 7-8am or so. If we CIO....she cries, and cries, and cries (hence trying the paci above), longer than any CIO session she ever did. It's an awful cry, I am good with most of her cries, but the later stages of this one is awful. I've picked her up and had her fall back asleep on me, and of course trying to lay her back down, she wakes. I always burp her exhaustively, and have tried not changing her to keep things lower key, always turn light off as soon as she's finished. Nothing in terms of our night feeding routine has changed. She napped 2x a day prior to this, but of course with this early waking, is now doing 3 naps per day.
I am totally okay with being up for the day anytime after 6am, I am a morning person, but anything earlier than that, I am just sort of not cool with....lol. Can I hope this is just (one of many!) phases she will evolve from? Or anything else you can think of that I could try?
Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated!
