I stubbed my big toe on Saturday night - we were walking home from getting frozen yogurt and I was wearing flip flops, holding Liam, hit my big toe on an uneven sidewalk - thought it was broken, so went to the ER Sunday, the ER dr took one look and also thought it was broken, but x-rays showed no breaks. I got some pain meds and a super cute new shoe (not). I worked on Monday and it felt a lot better, but that night I started not feeling well. I went to work Tuesday morning and soon realized I had to go home - I was definitely sick, and not a little cold, but a stomach churning horrible thing. I had the flu (I think - body aches, chills, nausea, diarrhea, headache, soooo sleepy, fever). I took Wednesday off and am much better today. I'm still not eating like I used to, but at least I am eating. Now my husband has it and we're just waiting for Liam to get it, but hoping his vaccines and strong immune system somehow save him.

I'm a mess! My foot is now starting to hurt all over because I'm walking with my weight on the outside of my foot, which isn't good. I've read about "great" (big) toe injuries and they can be so bad for your feet because we really use them when walking, unlike our other toes. I hope it doesn't turn into something more serious!

As a result of all of this, Liam has watched way more sesame street and mighty machines than I'd like to admit. It's just so hard to keep him busy and entertained when I'm sick and injured.

How do you keep your LO occupied when you're not feeling well?
