@TheSwissWifeStyle: To filter posts a bit, you could click into particular categories? Like Parenting, Pregnancy, etc. That way, you wouldn't see any Due Date Twins boards...

If we built a more advanced way to filter threads, how would you want it to work?

@mrbee: Maybe if you click on a thread to open in and then have a button at the bottom of the original/parent post to hide it and an option on your profile (like where it says wall, subscribed, posts) where it shows hidden threads? That way if you ever change your mind you can click on a thread to unhide it. Like an email trash box, so to speak.

I have wished this, too...it's hard to see the March Mom thread for me.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: one tricky part is... would you have to hide every thread in a board, if you didn't want to see any threads from that board?

@TheSwissWifeStyle: You know, I've felt the same way and wished there was a way to hide that particular thread. I'll be feeling fine each day and then bam! A Dec 2013 thread scrolls by. Then once in a while I'll actually get suckered into clicking on one, to see what things would be like right now - big mistake. It just brings fresh waves of sadness and anger.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: we don't have religion or politics boards for that reason! But point taken.

Full disclosure: this would be a tricky feature, since it would mean the boards front page would differ by user... making it harder to cache the front page, and thereby increasing the load on our server.
