I've been reading a few old forums, apparently its not uncommon for the Tech to tell you their "prediction" on the gender. I have my NT Scan in a few weeks & just curious.
Did this happen to you?

My tech told me they wouldn't even guess at that point

I've had 3 pregnancies and three different answers. 1st- guessed right. 2nd- refused to guess. 3rd- guessed wrong

Our tech asked if we wanted her to guess. We said sure, and she was right!

Ours said it was impossible to tell that early.

My tech would only guess if she was VERY certain. Baby had his legs crossed, so she couldn't even guess v

Mine was happy to tell me as best she knew, and that it was only about 80% certain. She was right.

Mine guessed girl based on nub theory and was right.

They told me they wouldn't guess before they started.

We asked and she guessed girl and was correct. She said she was almost positive but to not run out and buy all pink until it was confirmed at the 20 week scan.

Team green with our first, but this time we asked her to guess. She guessed girl and gave it a 70% chance of being right. 20 week seemed certain it was a girl- won't know for 100% for a few more weeks.

I didn't do the NT ultrasound but I did have a dating ultrasound at 12 weeks. My tech said she could tell, but she wouldn't tell me because "it's too early". I found that really annoying - I didn't expect to find out and I agreed that it was too early, but why tell me that you could tell?

My tech wouldn't guess - said any guess before Anatomy Scan is unreliable.

Before I even had a chance to ask they said they don't guess that early.

My first yes, they were right and it was pretty clear. My second wasn't as obvious and she couldn't guess but I got the blood test.
