Hey y'all,

I know I may be getting a bit ahead of myself here but M and I have already started talking nursery. Since I will be repurposing my vintage Heywood Wakefield furniture for the nursery (it was my grandparents) I need to start thinking fabric for the settee and give my reupholster guy some time to do the work, our last project took over 2 months. Also we have someone close to us moving and in need of all new furniture and will be giving them our guest room furniture and the room will be empty.

So I need to get started on a general look and would love some help. I think I'm decided on the Stokke Sleepi crib in natural since it goes well with my furniture. We went and looked at it yesterday and are happy with it.

We are team green, so there is no gender to consider. Right now we have really awesome teal/gold wallpaper up on one wall and long white gauzy curtains. When I designed the guest room I wanted it to look like a high end hotel room. The colors compliment the furniture we are using. The walls are cream. We would not have to change much, I would use grey as an accent color. I figure it's a great room for a baby, and if we have a boy we can redecorate at a year or two.

So my husband suggested doing something a little more rustic/fitting to our 1910 home. We love traveling and drive a 1978 green VW pop top. I thought a loose camping/Pendleton look would be really awesome- I just had a chair of M's reupholstered with a Pendleton blanket and love it. This look could work for a boy or girl.

If we opted to do the latter, I think it would be a bit expensive and take more time/planning, but I love the idea.

What do you think?

The first photo is the dresser which will serve as storage/changing table

The second is the settee which currently lives in my office. My Mom gave me that Pendleton baby blanket for Christmas when I complimented my nephews at Thanksgiving

The thirs is the existing guest room wallpaper/paint color

The forth is the chair I had done for M, if we went for the camping look then we would likely up use the same fabric on the settee.

The last photos is my VW just for fun;)
