DH is back on the baby train again now that I kept my job. My Ihead is spinning since we are *really* doing this. I'm scared. I spoke with a mommy friend and she was so refreshing. She admitted motherhood is challenging, but is so well worth it.

Ok, so as crazy as this sounds on my list of priorities I keep thinking about the baby's room and I what we really need. In a perfect world I would make the closet into a total wardrobe area with drawers and chabging table, but is a smidge shallow. Ikea's Stolmen series works though.

The room is small 10 x 11. One wall is taken up by the closet, the opposite wall has the window centered on it. The window is large and ends about 17" from the floor, so putting furniture in front of it will not work. The window covering are wood plantation shutters and I don't want to scrape those.

The other two walls in the room have no access issues, however the door is on a diagonal and cuts into one wall a bit.

So my question is this: which furniture is a must?

Crib
Chair/ Glider
Freestanding bookcase (I don't want to attach shelves or ledge to the wall)
Changer/ Dresser w/ change pad
End table

Once baby becomes toddler, would you repfeellace the glider with a small table and chair set? I have seen some low bookcases double as the change table, but that seems unsanitary for the boo I s and toys.
