What kind of window treatments do you have in LO's nursery?
My grandma made adorable decorative curtains for our nursery but they are simply decorative and do not actually block out any light. Now I'm looking for window treatments to put underneath them that will actually block out some light. However I do not want black out shades. Looking for some ideas.

We just have blinds and see-through curtains that didn't block any light. I didn't bother getting any black-out shades or anything and Xander ended up not needing them, which is good, because he wasn't going to get that at daycare anyway.

Ikea makes blackout liners that we used with a thinner decorative curtain. We also got their double curtain rod system so we could close one or the other or both.

We have plantation shutters in the room that will be used as a nursery. When the shutters are shut only a smidgen of light gets in.

We had full floor to ceiling blackout curtains, they covered the window and then some. Now we have blackout Roman blinds, but they still let in a lot of light at the sides.
Some alternatives, maybe blinds, cellular shades?

Decorative curtains and windows with integral blinds. It's not very dark at naptime, but neither girl has seemed to mind.

We have white sheers in our nursery and instead of mini blinds like rest of the bedrooms we picked up room darkening roller blinds at lowes

they work great to block light, add privacy and were cheap. they cut them down in store to fit our window size

We have blinds and double curtains in the nursery--the Ikea grey velvet curtains on the outside, and some grey and white print sheers on the inside.

There were white wood blinds in Liam's room already and we put medium weight curtains in front of them. We have very sheer curtains in the room that will be baby #2's, though, so I have to figure something out. I want bamboo shades with curtains over.
