Our dog is at the groomer's, so we're walking at the mall while we wait. I was prepared to nurse in a dressing room, but our mall has nursing rooms. Awesome! I can sit down, drink my coffee and enjoy a little quiet. It's got a couch, chair and changing table. I had to get a security gaurd to unlock it -I can see people using it for a quickie if it was open - haha.

I love them too!!! Nordy's has awesome nursing rooms, so much easier for my 10 month old who can't focus under a cover any longer!

Our mall has one too, it's not that nice though, but much better than having to use a dressing room!

Yes! The rooms at Nordstrom are the best!
I don't love that the rooms at BRU are just swing doors, but since there's only one, and it's a baby/kid store, I get it. I do love that they have a real changing table instead of the plastic fold down thing though!

I know a few of the malls down here have family restrooms/lounges, so I'm guessing that would be the nursing area too? I'm curious if they'd complain if we used it for pumping? My next challenging is figuring out where to pump when out and about.

That's so nice! Our mall has one as well, but it is always unlocked. You can lock it when you are using it though.
@MaisyMay: the one at our mall had an outlet and side table next to the chair. Maybe you can find one like that? I have pumped in the backseat of the car before though too.

@creativemomma15: I'm not looking forward to doing the car thing, but I know that I will, especially when I'm back at work. I'm actually intrigued by the idea of pumping while DH drives us to his parents' this Saturday.

Our mall has one too. It's a giant lounge with couches and some big stalls if you want more privacy. I also love Nordstrom's lounge!

Yeah, Nordstrom's all have such beautiful lounges. Nursing rooms rock. The one at our local science museum has a sink and an outlet to encourage moms who need to pump or mix formula bottles, which is awesome. Very inclusive.

Okay, the nursing lounge at the one Nordstroms that I tried sucked. No door, and the layout was confusing so people would wander in on you while trying to find the bathroom. Want to try a different mall and see if a different Nordstroms is better.
The one I tried at Buy Buy Baby was GREAT.

There is a mini couch in the bathroom at our Kohl's but its still in the bathroom so I feel icky in there.

@MaisyMay: I found pumping in the car great while DH drove us on long trips. Much better for us than stopping to nurse. I wore a nursing tank and a cover. It gave me something to do since you're not really doing anything as a passenger anyway and I usually did it while LO napped.

Our peds office has a nursing room. I've nursed in there a number of times. I love it.

There is one super crunchy baby store that I sometimes pop into that has a nursing corner but it's out in the middle of the store and not at all discreet. I've nursed there using a cover (my comfort level) and the owner kept telling me I didn't need to cover up! lol!
