I'm planning a super secret, tiny sprinkle for my SIL who lives on the UES. Think girls' day out with lunch, nails, and maternity clothes shopping. I originally thought of doing a tea service at Lady Mendyl's but am told she won't want to ride downtown. Any super cute girly uptown lunch spots for "born and bred" NYers, i.e. non-touristy?

I'm on the UES and here are a few places I like, not sure about private rooms though.

Felice (there's one in 80's and 60's)ETA: all of these, including Alice's Tea Cup, are near Bloomingdales and I think there's a Pea in the Pod or a Destination Maternity nearby.
