@Willow: boo! Sorry you're out. I'm thinking I'm going to be in the same boat. I on day 35, no af yet, I have to assume it's coming. My cycles have typically been around 29/30 days! Fx for next month!

@AMommyThang: I used the ClearBlue digital and the Wondfos at the same time (so that I could better learn what a positive OPK looked like).
Granted - it only kind of worked for that purpose because the Wondfo was definitely positive the day before I ever saw a positive on the CB digital test. And once the CB digital gave me a smile the next morning, Wondfo was negative again.

@Mrs Microscope: I'm so sorry that you've had to go through that. But, glad that you got to treat yo'self and recharge a little. I really admire your positive attitude - I know everything will work out for you!
@Mrs.KMM: Do you have any sense of whether Clear Blue or Wondfos are more accurate? I've had pretty good luck with Wondfos (I think) so I keep ordering them every month but interested to hear if they are the best option.
@HelloBeeBoston: I am totally stalking this thread to see what happens, ha! Girl, if I were you I'd be POAS every hour. Good luck to my fellow Boston Bee

@redeyedtreefrog: @ValentineMommy: Thank you
@hellobeeboston: Thanks. Mine are usually 30-32, so this was longer for me too. Good luck!

What OPKs do you think give you the information you're looking for? I guess what I mean is, I used digital CB before and it didn't really work. So now I'm trying wondos and so far so good, but I'm afraid I'm going to miss O.

@YogiRunner: and @JennyG: Honestly, they both worked for me. They just detected slightly different parts of my surge.
I got a definite positive on the Wondfos on a Saturday morning (possible positive Friday afternoon but hard to tell). On Sunday morning, Wondfo was negative but CB was positive. Monday morning, my temp started rising and after a couple of days FF detected ovulation for Sunday.
So basically they both worked but the Wondfos gave me a little more advanced notice. Granted - this is a sample size of just 1 month. I got my BFP the first month we added OPKs.

@Mrs. Microscope: That's so sweet. This process can feel so lonely that it's nice to be reminded there are other people pulling for you!

@YogiRunner: haha! I don't want to waste anymore!! If af isn't here by saturday or Sunday I guess I will have to test.

@JennyG: This month I am using a combination. CB advanced in the mornings and wondfo in the afternoon. So far it seems like a good combo.
Got my opk this evening on cd 13. So I'll likely O tomorrow. My DH is a trooper. Nothing sexier than BDIng with a cold and a YI.

@travellingbee: good luck! Last important bd for the month, then you can try to heal up. Maybe pregnancy hormones will help give you the balance your body needs to kick the infection once and for all!

@AngelaChase when did you start TTC? I went off BCP in March and started I guess... April? So it's been 6-7 months. I went for my annual with my gyn and really pushed to start some basic testing (bloodwork for me, SA for husband) even though it was less than the "required 1 year". My gyn said there's really no need to wait that long if you think something is up. But she also encouraged me to "give it a few more months."
Anyway, I am really glad we did the testing. DH is going in for the second SA today, so we should know by this afternoon if this one is abnormal, too. Which I am expecting it will be - I would be shocked for him to have one extremely bad SA to a totally normal one.
So we will see what the doctor says. Ugh.

@travellingbee: Yay! Good luck!!
@MrsADS: Good luck at your doc appt! I hope it goes well!
FF confirmed O for me today with solid lines! O on CD16. Today is CD19, so thank god I can stop BDing. I'm exhausted and need a break!!!

Went to obgyn today and we're moving forward with blood tests for me and SA for DH. I love that my dr is being so proactive. Also waiting on the results of swab to figure out how to treat infection. She said the infections themselves can't prevent pregnancy, but they can be a symptom of an underlying hormonal imbalance or something else that might be preventing pregnancy. So anyway I hope we're going to get to the root of this or that I will be getting pregnant today!

@MrsADS: Yep, same timeline as you. I went off BCP a year ago, but was charting to prevent for 6 months. We started actively trying in April and have had reasonable timing every time. Not always perfect, but always plausible. He will go for SA if this cycle is unsuccessful (#7).

@angelachase: @MrsADS: I'm on the same schedule as you ladies - started actively trying in April, and have had pretty good timing but no success. My annual appt is scheduled for January, so we're giving it until then to conceive naturally - if it doesn't happen, we'll discuss testing and interventions at that point.
At least you're not alone in this!
honeydew / 7235 posts
@MrsADS: did you hear about the test?
@travellingbee: that is great that they are being so proactive. Good luck with testing!!
@raspberries: @angelachase: it took me 9 months to conceive my son. It was around 6 months I got worried, and I had set up an appt to talk to my doc to discuss what was going on and I got pregnant naturally. Just wanted to let you know that, sometimes, frustratingly, it just takes a while.

Got AF this afternoon. So I am onto November. Now I don't know what I'll be able to do with taking time off of teaching. It really isn't the best timing to get pregnant over the next 8 months, but I don't want to put life on hold either. I just want to complete our family ASAP.
Good luck to everyone!.

Okay ladies...I'm trying not to read too much into anything, but I need a second opinion before I stress myself out too much!
I'm 5dpo today and I noticed a lot of watery cm (sorry, tmi) but so much so that I took another opk. It was negative though. That coupled with lots of cramping Tuesday night/all day yesterday/a tiny bit today has me worried. Could I have missed judged my O date? It was confirmed by opks and a temp rise!
nectarine / 2834 posts
@mrs scrapbook: i actually get CM a lot more after I ovulate. Very tricky!

@Tidybee: thanks! I don't know f I'm paying more attention this month or what, but I'm noticing a lot more going on lately! It can be confusing!

@Jone0603: I had November baby as a teacher, and it worked out...I was off until the start of second semester.

Anyone well versed with fertility friend? I got a positive opk yesterday (cd16) but I didn't test the day before (cd 15) but I did test on Tuesday (cd 14) and it was negative. I tested again today and it was negative. I tried to put this all into fertility friend but it won't give me an ovulation date unless I mark cd 15 as positive but I have no clue. I typically have a two day surge so I thought today would be positive, too. It occurred to me that cd 15 may have been positive but cd 14 was so so light. Any thoughts?
So basically,
CD 14- negative
CD 15-???
CD 16- positive
CD 17- negative
I could win an award for how rambly this is.

Hi ladies,
I'm CD16 and think I might be O'ing today. I don't chart so it's just a guess. *if* I O today, we got O-3 and O-2. I had such a headache last night I just couldn't BD. Of course I was mad at myself in the morning for not just pulling it together! Hopefully we can get tonight. Last cycle (m/c) we only BD'd twice in my fertile window, so you never know. Fingers crossed.

Another BFN this morning- I am expecting AF anytime now. Pretty bummed but hopefully we will have more luck when we are more actively trying rather than just going with the flow.
Good luck to everyone still to come this month!

I got a positive opk! Dh can't get home soon enough. Thank goodness it's the weekend!

@simplyfelicity: @jaguar: I feel you...no idea what's going on with my body here. Thought I was ovulating, but no temp surge yet. BD every other day is getting tiring!
@AMommyThang: yay! Get to BD!!!
pomelo / 5132 posts
@QBbride: with my son, we literally only BD'ed on O day. I was gone in the week leading up, and came home on Valentine's Day
pear / 1788 posts
@simplyfelicity: which brand opk? If wondfo, you probably ovulated cd17, if clearblue then cd16. FF doesn't matter at this point! I hope your timing was good this month!
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@Mrs. J: good to know! Love that you made a VDay baby!
We got 3 BD's in what I think my fertile window. I wasn't expecting to O on time because of my m/c last cycle, but maybe it was early enough that it didn't mess up my cycle.
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@Mrs. Microscope: Thanks! It was CBE original digital and I am now thinking I probably would have gotten a positive if I tested the day I didnt. I keep forgetting that you arent supposed to take the lines into account once you eject it. This is my first normal cycle after my mc so, more than anything, I am just happy that my body is back to "normal."
@Mrs. J: I typically test once because I have a long surge. I hope O is right around the corner!
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@AMommyThang: Get to it, lady!
@QBbride: Best of luck to you!

How do ya'll handle hydration with OPK's? I took one yesterday when I hadn't had much at all to drink, and it was the darkest I've had this month. Then another later when I'd been drinking my normal amount of water and it had almost no line at all. Clearly I'm not getting accurate results with my normal level of water intake, but I don't want to cut back unnecessarily either.

@simplyfelicity: I bet you ovulated like moments after taking the one on cd16. Welcome to the tww
