Has anyone's LO cut their teeth in a weird pattern? A is 8 months old (today! So big!) and so far, no teeth. But the last two days I've felt a bump on her upper left gum near the middle-back. I've never heard of a first tooth there! Anything else that it could be?

My LO formed a bump on his lower left and I thought for sure he would cut a tooth (it would have been his 3rd--but still out of order). When I took him to the pediatrician she said it wasn't a tooth but never clarified what it was. He just cut his 6th tooth and the bump is still there.

@rahlyrah: weird. We keep thinking she's teething - chewing, fussy, etc. but it hasn't happened yet. Did you take him to the led specifically to look at the bump?

@NurseMommy: She could still be teething! A few of his teeth have had buds (I think 2 of them) but the rest of them popped up out of nowhere.
I had her check the bump at his 6 month appointment.
