What's a good gift for not so fancy second time parents. We want to spend $100. I'm not opposed to buying something that can be used within the first year, not necessarily the baby baby stage.

Probably something that can be used for two kids... Like this radio flyer wagon - http://www.amazon.com/Radio-Flyer-Pathfinder-Wagon-Red/dp/B002JCS7X4 -this would be great for lugging things to setup a picnic, or when doing an event at the beach too.

With #2 being a different gender I'm in need of clothes/blankets ect. I have all the gear to use from my first but will need to buy a whole new wardrobe for DD - I'm not registering/having a shower but I hope I get a few cute outfits since I've been trying to only buy the necessities.

I probably should have stated the older child is 6. The couple is TG so far.
@Mrs. High Heels: I remember we got a Radio Flyer when my brother wasborn and it was perfect for loading up groceries to take into the house. As a family of four we shopped at Sam's Club.
@Mrsjets: The registry is mostly filled with necessities- feeding and diaper gear. She has outfits on there, but for both genders. Second time registry isn't much fun at all.

Maybe some new feeding gear? Bibs, spoons etc? Or some new slippers / robe / body lotion etc for mama?

I might go for a combination of children's books and diapers. With $100, I could do some serious damage on Amazon! I'd pick a book for the older sibling, too.
