.........I think it's time for me to take myself off!! Haha. She's been wanting a page for a while. Some very kind soul must have helped her set it up last night.
Are you friends with your parents on Facebook (if you use it)?

My mom is too paranoid about privacy to use social media sites but I would prob "friend" her if she was on.

My Mom is on but I don't use Facebook for much - pictures, silly updates, that sort of thing. It's not a personal dump for me so I'm okay with my Mom being my friend.

nope, she's asked me about it but i never set it up for her. it's only been a year or so that she's finally learned to turn on the computer and learn email.

My mom LOVES Facebook. I don't mind being friends with her because I never put anything bad up. Usually just pictures of lo.

@mediagirl: @artbee: i don't put anything bad either but it just brings back bad childhood memories of her reading my diary and discussing it with me or listening in on my phone calls!!

Yes, I'm friends with my mom, stepdad, dad, mother in law, and father in law on Facebook. It is usually fine except when someone feels something warranted a person notification instead of "having to read it on facebook" but other than that, it hasn't been too big a problem.

@Andrea: OH DEAR!!!! Okay, my Mom never did those things. I would be apprehensive, too!! Yikes...

I'm friends with my mom, dad, and MIL on FB. The worst thing for me is my dad/MIL don't really post anything, but they are always reading what I post and bringing it up when I talk to them. Like when my dad asked me what STFU means...ooops.

I'm friends with my mom and my father-in-law. While I read FB fairly often, I almost never post anything besides pictures of LO (and even that, not often). And I never write about personal stuff- there's no chance that anyone even remotely close to me would ever learn anything from FB first before hearing it from me.

@pelikila: yeah, my mom has gotten upset that her friends were seeing pictures of the LO before she does.
@mamabolt: STFU! hahaha.

I'm friends with both of my parents and with my MIL. My husband is really anti-facebook and he gets so annoyed because ANY time I post anything his mom says something about it to him. Not that I post anything bad, she just comments on whatever it is that's going on. But I tell him, listen, if she wants to stalk me, that's her problem, not mine.

My mom is on FB (I had to set up her page for her) and she has no idea how to use it. She is always calling me super angry over some perceived FB issue. She doesn’t understand how “liking” things and “walls” and the “feed” work, so she thought that when she liked a company and saw the company’s status updates on her feed – that all of her friends saw the company she liked on their feed as well. She also claimed companies were just adding her without her “liking” or friending them….and called me screaming about how FB was “using” her for free advertising by spamming her friends walls. Sigh.
What’s even worse is she made me set up an Etsy page for her (she is an artist), and has no idea how to upload pictures, let alone work an Etsy page. She claims her computer doesn’t allow for copy/paste. I’m always updating her listing along with my own.

@Andrea: Wow! My mom never did that. We have fun on facebook together though. We get to gossip about people, and whenever she's on vacation I post daily pictures of LO for her because I know she misses her. Before she had her own facebook she would just sign onto mine!

ha! other than my mother in law, my parents are so out of the loop that they dont have FB, twitter or anything like that.

haha my mom has it AND my Grandma! She doesn't quite understand the features, so her status is usually what she wants to tell individual people which makes me giggle.

My mom and my Grandma are both on facebook. I don't mind, it is nice to be able to chat with them on there. My family lives quite a ways from me.

My mom is on Facebook. It's not annoying, except that when we talk on the phone, she's always like, "Did you see how I posted that thing on Facebook?!" She wants to re-hash everything, and I never know what to say. "Yes, mom, I saw it..."

My mom, step dad, grandmother, and great grandmother are all on Facebook. My mom, grandmother, and aunts are way more active on there than I am. I think about deleting it all the time, but I feel like I wouldn't get any family updates otherwise.

My mom is luckily not on FB and she will probably never be.
My MIL is on FB.

My parents, aunt/uncle, GRANDPARENTS.... everyone is on FB! Hard to hide, but kind of nice to tell them to go to FB if they want to see new pictures of DD.
